Who we are
GuideAxis provides brand-neutral, education-only device guidance to UK users. We don't operate your device and we don't carry out hardware repairs. We collect the minimum data needed to respond to your enquiry and deliver our learning materials.
- Legal name: Connecgen Global LLP (data controller), operating as GuideAxis
- GSTIN: 09AAWFC5769J1ZH
- Registered office (India): Connecgen Global LLP, 3rd Floor, Plot No. 23, Block-B, Sector-62, Noida, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh – 201301

Educational guidance only — you carry out the steps; we never connect to your device.
Data we collect
- Contact details you provide: name, email, phone, and message content when you use our Contact form or ask about plans.
- Session context: device model, operating system, and your goal (e.g., connect over Wi-Fi, test a scan).
- Transactional info: plan chosen, timestamps, and basic billing metadata if you buy a plan (we do not store full card numbers).
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and basic logs for reliability and security.
- Cookies & similar tech: strictly-necessary cookies for site operation; optional Analytics/Marketing cookies only with your consent.
We do not request special category data. Please avoid sharing it with us.
Worth being equally clear about what we don't collect: we don't ask for your Wi-Fi password directly (you enter it yourself, on your own device, during a lesson), we don't request account passwords for any service, and we don't use anything you tell us to train third-party AI models — your enquiry content is used only to respond to you.
How we use your data
- Respond to your enquiry and provide the guidance you request.
- Create simple step lists/checklists and follow-up notes you can reuse.
- Maintain site reliability and safety (debugging, preventing abuse or spam).
- Understand what's useful via Analytics where you have consented.
- Meet legal duties (tax/accounting, record retention, fraud prevention).
- Send service messages about bookings or policy changes. We do not add you to marketing emails without explicit consent.
Lawful bases
- Contract — to deliver guidance you ask for.
- Legitimate interests — site reliability, basic security, essential communications.
- Consent — non-essential cookies (Analytics/Marketing) and any optional emails.
- Legal obligation — tax/accounting and lawful requests.
"Legitimate interests" is a specific UK GDPR term — it means we've assessed that a particular use of data (like keeping the site secure) is necessary and proportionate, and doesn't override your own rights and interests. It's not a blanket justification; it applies only to the specific purposes listed above.
Ads & Analytics transparency
- Analytics (consent-based): aggregate page views and events to improve content; IP anonymisation is enabled where available.
- Advertising measurement (consent-based): we measure which pages lead to enquiries so we can improve our UK adverts via our search and advertising partners (e.g., Google or Microsoft). Personalised advertising runs only if you opt in.
You can withdraw consent any time via Cookie Preferences. Refusing optional cookies does not affect access to essential site features.
International transfers
We are established in India and serve UK users online. Where data is transferred outside the UK/EEA, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (or equivalent) and provider-level protections. Contact us if you'd like details of safeguards for a given service.
In plain terms: Standard Contractual Clauses are a UK/EU-approved legal template that binds a data recipient outside the UK to broadly the same protections UK GDPR requires, even though local law elsewhere might differ. It's the standard mechanism for exactly this — a UK-facing service where the operating entity is based outside the UK — and doesn't reduce your rights described in this policy.
Retention
- Enquiries: normally up to 12 months to manage follow-ups and complaints.
- Guidance notes: for as long as you have an active plan or as required for legal/accounting purposes, then securely deleted.
- Cookie preferences: stored so we can honour your choices.
Security
We apply layered controls including TLS in transit, access controls, least-privilege, and routine updates. No Internet service is 100% secure, but we act to reduce risk and respond promptly to issues.
Children
Our services are aimed at adults and older students using home or small-office devices. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 in the UK. If you believe a child has provided data, please contact us so we can remove it.
Your rights & how to exercise them
You can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting prior lawful processing.
How to make a request:
- Email: info@guideaxis.online with the subject "Data Request".
- Include what you're asking for, the email/phone you used with us, and proof of identity (we'll advise what's needed securely).
- We respond within one month (UK GDPR timeframes). Complex requests may take longer; we'll let you know.

Questions people ask about this policy
How will I know you've received my data request?
We acknowledge data requests directly by email, generally within a few working days, ahead of the full one-month response required under UK GDPR.
Can I ask you to delete my guidance notes before my plan ends?
Yes — an erasure request can be made at any time using the process above; we'll confirm once it's actioned.
Do you use my enquiry to train AI models?
No. Your enquiry content is used only to respond to you and, where genuinely useful, to improve our own published guides — never to train third-party AI systems.
Why does an Indian company need UK GDPR safeguards for UK visitors?
Because we process personal data of people in the UK, UK GDPR applies to that processing regardless of where the company handling it is registered — this is standard practice for any business serving UK customers online from abroad.
Complaints
Please contact us first — we aim to resolve concerns quickly and fairly. UK users can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). See the ICO website for how to raise a concern.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to our services or legal requirements. We will adjust the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, show a prominent notice on the site.
