Why guidance is offered as plans
Some device problems are genuinely one-off — a single printer that won't connect, sorted in one session. Others are ongoing: a household or small office where devices change, operating systems update, and new questions come up every few months. The plans below reflect that difference rather than trying to force every situation into the same format. A one-time plan suits the first case; the monthly and annual plans suit the second, where the value is in having guidance available as things change, not just once.
What's included with every plan
Plain-English, step-by-step notes you can save and reuse, plus a quick proof step (test print/scan or connection check) so you know it works.
Email summary of actions and next steps. Privacy-first: you carry out all actions; we don't operate your device.
Scope clarity: educational guidance only — no repairs, warranty handling or manufacturer representation.

How to choose
If you have one specific problem to solve right now and don't expect to need help again soon, Starter is the most direct fit. If you've just bought a new printer, laptop, or router and want everything properly connected and tested from the start, 1-Month Getting Started gives you room for a few follow-up sessions as things come up in that first month.
For a household or small office where devices, users, or networks change periodically, the 6-Month and Annual plans are built around that ongoing pattern rather than a single event. The Lifetime plan suits people who'd rather not think about renewing at all and expect to need occasional guidance indefinitely. If multiple people share devices in a co-working or small office setting, Small Team is scoped specifically for that — coordinating several users rather than treating each one as a separate one-off case.
How billing works
Prices are in GBP. You'll receive a receipt and plan window by email with booking links. Plans cover educational guidance only and exclude repairs, connecting to your device, and warranty processing. Cancel for a full refund before your first consultation; afterwards we review fairly based on time used and any materials delivered. See Refund & Cancellation.
Frequently asked questions
Do you connect to my device or carry out repairs?
No. We don't operate your device and we don't repair hardware. Our role is to teach a safe, repeatable sequence you can run yourself, with a quick proof at the end so you know it works. If we see signs of a hardware fault, we'll explain why guidance won't help and suggest sensible next steps without pushing any brand.
What should I prepare before a session?
Have the device model, your operating system version, and your intended connection method ready (Wi-Fi, USB or Ethernet). Knowing the Wi-Fi name and password helps. Close stuck print jobs and, if practical, restart the device so we begin from a known state.
What if I don't use all my consultations?
You can use remaining time to document your workflow, check another device, or prepare for a router change. If a genuine life event gets in the way, tell us early — we can often extend briefly or convert one slot into a written checklist.
Is this tied to a particular brand or app?
No. Guidance is brand-neutral and focuses on operating-system controls and simple checks that work across common home and small-office setups in the UK. Where a term is brand-specific, we translate it into generic actions.
How fast are email follow-ups?
During your plan window we aim to reply within one working day, UK time. Starter includes one clarification email; longer plans include ongoing email within their term.
Do prices shown include tax?
Prices are shown in GBP as displayed on the page; any applicable tax is confirmed at checkout before you complete payment, not added as a surprise afterwards.
Can I switch plans partway through?
Yes — contact us and we'll work out a fair adjustment based on what's been used so far, rather than requiring you to lose the remaining value of your current plan.
Is there a way to try this before committing to a longer plan?
Starter exists for exactly this — a single focused session lets you see how the guidance works before considering one of the ongoing plans.
Educational guidance only — no repairs, no device control, and no manufacturer representation.
