How we create and maintain clear, brand-neutral guidance you can trust — accuracy standards, sourcing, reviews, corrections, accessibility and how to contact us.

Purpose & scope

Nex Solutions publishes plain-English notes that help people complete everyday tasks with home and small-office devices. Our role is educational: we explain safe, repeatable steps that you carry out. We are independent and brand-neutral, and we never take remote control of your devices.

Educational guidance only — no repairs, no remote access, no manufacturer representation.

Our standards

  • Accuracy first: instructions are tested against current Windows/macOS interfaces and common device behaviours. We avoid risky or irreversible actions.
  • Independence: we do not accept paid placement from manufacturers. References to brands exist only to help you find controls or messages on your screen.
  • Clarity: we prioritise short sequences, minimal jargon, and practical checks so you can confirm progress.
  • UK-focused: examples, spellings and timings are written for UK users, with notes where they differ internationally.
  • Accessibility: we aim for readable pages, descriptive link text, and alt text for images; we welcome adjustment requests (see Accessibility).

Sourcing & citations

  • We prefer primary documentation (operating-system help and official resources) and direct observation of interfaces.
  • Where we cite third-party material, we link to it and describe why it is relevant. We avoid linking to aggressive download pages or tools that add risk.
  • Screens, terms and options can change; we date-stamp pages and revise when platforms move on.

Review & update workflow

  • Drafting: an editor writes the flow in plain English, emphasising safe, reversible actions and a small proof at the end.
  • Technical review: a second reviewer checks steps against current OS versions and common device behaviours.
  • Quality & accessibility pass: we check reading clarity, link intent, headings, and alt text.
  • Publication: we publish with a clear title, meta description and “Last updated” date.
  • Updates: we revisit content after major OS releases, notable device changes, or reader feedback that indicates confusion.

Where a change affects the outcome meaningfully, we edit the page and refresh the “Last updated” stamp. Minor line-edits (typos, phrasing) may not trigger a separate announcement.

Corrections & feedback

If you spot an error or a step that no longer matches, tell us and we’ll review it promptly. For simple corrections we aim to respond within two business days; for complex reports we’ll confirm receipt and follow up with an outcome.

Images & media

  • We use a mix of original visuals and licensed stock. Images are illustrative, brand-neutral where possible, and paired with alt text for screen-reader users.
  • We do not use brand logos unless it is necessary to explain an on-screen control; where used, logos are owned by their respective holders.
  • Diagrams are simplified to reduce mis-clicks and highlight only the relevant control or message.

Use of AI tools

We may use AI-assisted tools for grammar, structure, or idea checks. All guidance is planned and reviewed by a human editor, and publication is never automated. We do not ingest private user information into public AI tools. Where AI-generated imagery is used, we will label it.

Safety & limitations

  • Our notes avoid irreversible actions and strongly discourage lowering security controls without a clear reason and a way to restore them.
  • When we suspect a hardware fault, warranty issue, or strict administrative policy is the real blocker, we say so and point to sensible next steps.
  • Nothing here is legal advice or a substitute for manufacturer servicing where required.
